Joy and excitement took over the JardimUnião Communitylast Saturday night (16). The Beatriz LauroFiuza Institute organized a celebration for its two-year anniversary, entertaining over 400 guests with the students’ music and karate presentations. The institute’s directors and sponsorswere present to celebrate with the students, their families and the community.
The institute recalled it’s best moments since 2012, when it started working with the neighborhood’s youth. The best students from both projects, Jacques Klein and Bishi No Te, were awarded with a plate of honor for their achievements.
Silvia Valente, the institution’s coordinator, held spoke of the importance of this celebration, expressing the happiness and fulfillment felt by all employees. “From the very beginning the Institute has contributed to several stories of achievements and overcoming. Today, we have the honor of showing the result of these projects that are so great”, Silvia said.
Student’s family members and community members had the chance to see up close these results. In karate, children and teens made beautiful demonstrations of the sport, tearing applauses from the public. Soon after, it was the music student’s turn to show their strength and talent, with musical performances that brought together various instruments and the choirs. To finish, the Institute “blew” the cake’s two-year candle and reaffirmed the goal of continuing the good work for many more years to be able to tell great success stories.
