LastTuesday, August 5th,violinstudentsfromtheJacques Klein Projectwereawardedwith a MasterClasstaughtbymusician, composerandteacher Rodrigo Cardozo. Themusicianshared some ofhisartisticknowledgewiththeyouthproject.
Born in Fortaleza, Rodrigo Cardozo isrecognizedfor his musical work. Altogether, themusicianhascomposedandrecordedthreeCD’s. Rodrigo presentedstudentswith a newinstrument, theelectricviolin, showingthat it canfit in many musical styles beyondclassicalmusic.
According to theinstitution’sviolinteacher, Grace Kelly, theclasswas a uniqueexperienceandhas a differential in thelearningprocessofeachstudent. “Learning a new style and a new musical instrument, astheelectricviolin, is important in theeducationalprogressofthechildren,” shesays. Besidestheviolinlessons, the Project serves 400 studentsandofferscoursesin viola, doublebass, cello, piano, guitarandchoir singing.
